Internationally acclaimed Music industry Festival ‘Sound City’ is coming to Tromsø  in 2011.

In April 2011, Sound City – the UK’s most creative and innovative city centre event – will take over Tromsø to deliver 2 days and nights of life at the cutting edge of popular culture and creative thinking.

Tromsø Sound City will bring the best in new music, art, film, photography, business, tech, media and more to debate, discuss and develop, all while establishing direct and lasting working links between Norway and the wider international creative community.

Challenging the conventional and constantly striving to discover the new, TSC will also be showcasing some of the best new music on the planet: with international headliners, supported by the regions finest up and coming artists. Cross country and cross genre, these gigs will provide a chance for the best Norway has to offer to play in front of key industry figures from around the world.

Taking place at Driv, the city’s biggest music venue, the goal of Tromsø Sound City is simple: to establish the brand over the next 5 years, be a major contributor to the development of local artists and to help build the vital infrastructure within creative industries in the north of Norway.
